【摘要】:Gasesmaybeformedinoil-filledelectricalequipmentasaresultoffaults.Thetypeoffaultanditsseveritymayoftenbeinferredfromthecompositionofthegases.Gassamplesaretakenfromtransformergasspacesorfromgas-collectorrelaysinorderthatthecompositionofthegassamplemaybedetermined.Innitrogen-blanketedtransformers,thegasesgeneratedbyafaultwillpartitionbetweenthegaseousandliquidphases.Ontransformerswithgas-collectorrelays,gasintheformofbubblesmaycollectinagas-collectorrelayandprovideameanstoobtainagassampleforanalysis.Donotdrawsamplesfromanenergizedinstrumenttransformer.1.1Thispracticecoversthesamplingofgasfromatransformergasspaceorfromagas-collectorrelaywherethevolumeofgasavailableissmallandwillnotpermittheuseofPracticeD2759.1.2Thispracticecoverssampling,usingagas-tightsyringeasthesamplingapparatusandcontainer.1.3Iftheapparatustobesampledisfoundtobeunderanegativepressure,theapparatuspressureshouldberaisedbytheadditionofnitrogengasuntilapositivepressureisobtained.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
